My son has arrived at the ‘loosing first teeth’ stage and it’s a big deal for him!
A few weeks ago he was at my mums for the weekend and when he came home he ran inside and said very loudly
” Mum your never going to believe what happened”
I was thinking to myself please don’t tell me you broken something at your nana’s house! He opened his mouth and, with the greatest enthusiasm, he said
” My Tooth came out!”

I felt a big sigh of relief. He then put his hand inside his pocket and showed me the tooth which was nicely wrapped in a tissue. That night he put the tooth under his bed and went to sleep!

The next morning my son woke up and went to use the bathroom. I heard him mention something to do with his tooth I then though “Oh No” as I realised that I had totally forgotten to put some money under his pillow. I nearly made the tooth fairy look like she had gone on annual leave!

I then went into my purse and luckily found a one pound coin.  Phew! That was very close. After using the toilet I heard him say to his sister “See I told you that the tooth fairy was real”. He came running into the kitchen and said “look mummy the tooth fairy came last night.” With a very surprised face I said “Wow that’s amazing son!” Yay…Mummy saves the day!!

Have you ever forgotten to play the tooth fairy and if so what was your child’s reaction?
As this was his first tooth I thought it needed to me marked with a traditional visit from the tooth fairy..aka mummy!
